Working for a sustainable and progressive Education and Culture
Los Alamos Association is aware of the rule "think globally and act locally." Our activities are centered on the city of Cieza, the Ricote Valley of Murcia, which extends over seven villages and is composed of 1,200 teachers in some 50 Schools. This focus allows the Association to pass on and apply its aims to a large number of students, who are from 13 to 19 years old.
We want to act on the important issues of drug addiction, gender violence, and planning for sustainable regional development, taking into account the problems of desertification, integration of aged persons and people with disabilities as well as the integration of migrant peoples.
Please, see the plan of activities for the 2006.
By taking advantage of information and communication technologies, our members are capable of faster and more effective action. It is for this reason that our activities include Forums in which we discuss the issues mentioned above.
We intend to document our current activities and publish representative pictures. Some existing photos can be seen in the section «images»
